Pastor Terrell F. Jones

Pastor

    Pastor Terrell F. Jones was born in Reno, Nevada, to Ethel Mae Jones (and the late) Arthur C. Jones, Sr. He is married to Lisa S. Jones. They have three children, three grandsons, and one granddaughter. 

     

    In May of 1998, Pastor Jones accepted his calling to serve as the Under Shepherd of New St. Bethel Baptist Church. After arriving in the Oak Park, Pastor Jones became an active participant in the neighborhood and continues to be involved in the community. He has been involved with the Sacramento Neighborhood Housing Services, Oak Park Renaissance Resident Leadership Development Academy and CARES. Under the leadership of Pastor Jones, New St. Bethel serves many families and individuals within the community through ministries (Food Give Away and Community Outreach) that target the homeless population.

     

    Pastor Jones devoted his time to social and economic programs, where he served as a youth counselor (Morgan Alternative Center and Youth Guidance Connection). He was a volunteer chaplain (Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center), and a member of the Omega Cluster (Antioch Baptist Church).

     

    He partners with “Always Knocking” – (a nonprofit organization for at-risk and incarcerated youth). In addition; Pastor Jones actively participates in the Oak Park Peace Walks.

     

    Pastor Jones earned an Associate of Science degree (American River College) and an Associate of Arts degree (Cosumnes River College). He holds a diploma in Biblical Studies from Golden State Seminary Extension (Southern Baptist). He received his Master’s Degree in Theological Studies (MTS) from Gateway Seminary (Golden Gate). Pastor Jones is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry (DMin) program.

     

    For many years, Pastor Jones was employed as a Social Services Care Worker (County of Sacramento). He served as the past President of the Congress of Christian Education (Northern District Baptist Association). For 8 years; Pastor Jones served as NDBA’s Moderator-at-Large. He currently serves as the Northern Regional Director of the California African American Fellowship (CAAF).

     

    Pastor Jones is an accomplished guitarist and was the recipient of the “All I Know Is Music” (AIM) Award for his 30 plus years of service in the Music Industry.

     

    As pastor of New St. Bethel for over 27 years; Pastor Jones is a humble man who yields himself to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and walks in accordance with God's Holy Word.
